I am 33 years old and have been married to my wonderful husband, M, for 6 years. I used to be a mechanical engineer but I went back to school and got my bachelor's degree in nursing! I recently got a job working midnights in the pediatric ICU of a local Catholic hospital.
We have been TTC for 4 years with absolutely no success. Being that we are Catholic, we have decided that we will not be attempting ART's that conflict with our beliefs. I had surgery with Dr. Hilgers from the PPVI in Omaha in May 2010 to remove any remaining endometriosis but that was our last ditch effort. We will not be pursuing any further medical treatments.
We applied for adoption in January, were put on the waiting list in April and were matched with a pregnant young woman in September who gave birth to a baby girl in October. We already have her home with us and are just praying that the adoption proceeds smoothly from here on out! We are so incredibly grateful to L, her birthmom for the precious gift she has given us!
