Slapped in the Face with Reality

So this morning I had the best dream. It was so incredibly realistic. I dreamed that I was pregnant.
I wasn’t showing yet, but it was like I had known about it for a few weeks. The dream was just M and I hanging out on the couch talking about it. We were both so giddily happy. Happiness and contentment was just oozing out of us. I was in awe that I had our child growing in my belly. I remember saying to M that even if something bad ended up happening (miscarriage) that at least I knew it was possible for me to get pregnant because up until then, I was starting to think it wasn’t even possible.
And then I woke up…

I’ve had lots of dreams like that…recently I was holding my newborn. I was in love with her. Now if that could only happen in real life and not dreams. Is God telling me something here? Haaa!!! Blessings!!!

Sigh . . . that’s always a tough one. I have read that psychologists say that pregnancy dreams are actually the mind’s way of acknowledging us giving birth to something new in our lives or our psyche, not actually literal.

Just when we think we have it all together, our subconscious rears up and sock it to us!
I have had a similar dream like that once or twice.S

I have no idea what it means, if anything.

Ugh! It’s a wonderful dream to have.. it’s just the waking up part that gets in the way. Sometimes I don’t mind bad dreams because then at least I wake up thankful for my real life!
I can COMPLETELY relate to the last part in particular. I am in the exact same boat as you.

I never had the pregnant or the pregnancy test dream, but I have had the “holding newborn” or parenting a toddler dream, and they are THE BEST!!!
I’m so happy you had that dream, because I think (for me at least) it keeps hope alive… it’s like a little message from God in your sleep

I always have the dreams where I’m pregnant, but I never give birth. I hope someday your dream comes true Kacy. Keep hoping!
