Another story of infertility and now adoption
We have been TTC for over 3 years with absolutely no success. Being that we are Catholic and have a strong faith, we have decided that we will not be attempting ART's that conflict with our beliefs. I am currently seeing a NaPro doctor to see if there are any less invasive treatments remaining that I can still try. If that doesn't work, we are open to adoption but because I am in school we cannot begin the process just yet.
- Stopped BC in Jan. '06 but used NFP to avoid pregnancy (ha ha).
- Started trying May '06 using BBT charting, OPK's, and fertility monitor.
- October '06 DH's SA came back normal except slightly low morphology (most likely due to abstaining too long before test day).
- Jan '07 had a saline ultrasound to check for polyps and fibroids because of pre AF spotting - nothing significant found.
-April '07 met with RE. Had HSG, Saline ultrasound, bloodwork, another SA. SA was excellent but it was determined that I had a septum in my uterus and PCOS.
- May '07 had lap/hyst to remove septum. Small polyp and slight endo was removed as well.
- August '07 started trying again, I wasn't IR but started metformin anyway. I can only handle 500mg/day.
- November '07 started Clomid 100mg, also using estrace and progesterone supplements.
- January '08 break cycle due to laparoscopic surgery to check for endo and to do a tubal profusion. No endo found but tubes are clear.
- February '08 Clomid 100mg and increased metformin to 750mg per day - BFN
- March '08 Clomid 100mg - BFN
- May '08 First IUI - Clomid/Follistim Combo - BFN
- June '08 - Natural cycle - BFN
- July '08 - Second IUI - Follistim only - Cancelled - Follicles stopped growing
- August '08 - Monitored natural cycle - BFN
- December '08 - Started charting using Creighton Method
- March-May '09 - Saw the NaPro doctor and completed full Hormone Series which showed a Type V Luteal Phase Deficiency.
-August '09 - Started taking Estrogen during luteal phase, 800 iu/day of Vitamin D, and 1.5 mg Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN).
-September '09 - Increased to 3 mg of LDN.

And also look at that blond hair! Gorgeous. Congrats on your beautiful goddaughter! Hope your first week of school is going well! Oh and yes we went to southern and northern CA for our honeymoon so it included the drive up the PCH. Gorgeous, but sometimes scary views!
